Charging Ahead

The Expedition to Excellence

This two day adventure takes participants on a journey of business introspection, evaluation and revitalisation.  Too much? Probably, but this event is one of the best for health professionals looking to improve their business profitability while maintaining quality services.

Three leaders bring different elements to the Charging Ahead workshop.

Craig Allingham – physiotherapist, publisher, writer, lecturer, Olympian and some say ‘a bit full of himself’.  He says it is an act to hide his shyness.  Craig brings practical ideas for business building, complete with examples of his failures as a warning to others.

Jackie Robertson – physiotherapist, entrepreneur, acquistions and megers expert, and Telstra Business Woman of the Year finalist.  Jackie speaks on team management from recruitment to training and to retention.  Also the marriage of science and art in managing a small business while still working within it.

Ian Watts – our secret weapon of mass production.  Ian is an MBA and works with the Royal College of General Practitioners helping it’s members with business related issues.  He speaks ‘non-physio’ and forces us to dig into organisational culture, communication and leadership.  His sessions are revealing and sometimes confronting for those new to management.

This workshop runs for a day and a half including the networking dinner after day one and a ‘women in the workforce’ breakfast before the podium sessions of day two.  Venues move about and have included a Hunter Valley winery, an elegant hotel in the Blue Mountains, overlooking the beach on the Sunshine Coast and a room in Melbourne (we learned from that).

This event tries to run at least once per year but getting the faculty together is becoming increasingly difficult.  Keep an eye on our calendar, or better still register for our newsletter service.
