Our Workshops

We conduct a range of workshops under three categories -

Hold It Sister Workshops

Featuring Mary O’Dwyer the author of ‘Hold It Sister’ and ‘My Pelvic Flaw’ as the leader.  She has three workshops, each targeting a different group.  Each workshop is a one day event.

  1. The Confident Woman’s Guide to Pelvic Control - for any woman interested in learning the Hold It Sister system of pelvic floor control and strength.
  2. The Confident Trainers Guide to Safe Training of the Female Pelvic Flaw – for fitness professionals keen to learn the safe and effective way to train women without risking pelvic floor harm.
  3. The Confident Physios Guide to Core and Floor Training – for physiotherapists and other health professionals (eg Continence Nurses) to learn Mary’s applied program of pelvic floor rehabilitation and control.

 Clinical Workshops

Craig Allingham leads our clinical workshop program which has five topics currently being taught.  Others are under development.  Participants are generally physiotherapists, final year physiotherapy students or professionals in closely allied fields (osteopathy, exercise rehabilitation, etc).  Each workshop is a one day event unless noted otherwise.

  1. The Everyday Shoulder – effective management of the typical mulit-pathology, degenerative, post-op, frozen or grotty shoulders seen in daily practice.
  2. The Everyday Foot & Ankle – same as above but nothing about shoulders!  Effective management of common traumatic, degenerative, overuse and pathomechanical problems of the foot and ankle.
  3. The Sporting Shoulder – a look at the high performance shoulder, the increased demands, sports biomechanics, pathomechanics, screening and advanced rehab strategies.
  4. Late Stage Lumbar Rehab – (half day only) – moving beyond basic recruitment and movement rehab to the mid and advanced conditioning required to build resilience in recovery.  Increase your exercise repertoire and motivate your clients to finish the rehab process.
  5. Total Lumbar Rehab – After some waffle from Craig on spinal myths, muscles and methods, Mary presents the vital early phases of retraining the core and floor complex incoporating current research on the diaphragm and deep core/floor cooperation before Craig takes over for the late stage rehab and resilience training.

Business Workshops

Craig leads or teams with others in these practical workshops to expand the business skills of healthcare professionals in private practice.  Suitable for physiotherapists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, osteopaths and others.
