Working with high performance shoulders in rehabilitation or training demands an advanced knowledge of sporting techniques, pathomechanics and exercise science.  The High Performance Shoulder workshop introduces these higher levels of professional expertise to participants seeking to take their rehabilitation skills to a new level.

Your facilitator, Craig Allingham, has worked at elite and Olympic levels as both sports physiotherapist and coordinator of sports science for national sporting organizations and athletes. You may not be at that level (yet) but his ability to apply those concepts to the high performance and sporting shoulders in your practice will benefit your patients and your career.

Topics Include

  • Review the biomechanics of throwing, swimming and overhead ball striking
  • Functional and Clinical evaluation of high performance shoulders
  • Exercise rehabilitation and sports specificity including power and plyometric rehab
  • Structured return to sport evaluations

Not all high performance shoulders are involved in sport.  Surf athletes, recreational players, heavy industrial workers, medical workers and many others are involved in daily high level activities involving overhead or loaded shoulder activity.

This workshop can be done as a stand alone, however participants who have already completed The Everyday Shoulder will be better prepared for Craig's assessment and rehabilitation strategies.
