The core and floor workshop for all physiotherapists - not just women's health!

Mary O'Dwyer is an internationally published author and teacher on pelvic floor rehabilitation.  Combine this with 30 years as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and you have a fabulous facilitator for retraining of the core and floor.

This full day Hold It Sister workshop is state of the art and translates a huge research base into practical clinical applications and skills for optimal management.  Mary covers assessment and treatment (without internal palpation) at a high level but remaining totally applicable to physiotherapists who are not dedicated to women's health.  In fact the male therapists who do this course leave with a whole new understanding and skill set for working with female patients who have low back pain.

Mary's three stage program of 'Find It. Control It. Train It.' is an easily understood framework for your patients and the results will be very rewarding.

  • 'I'd just like to say that my clinical practice has benefited greatly from the workshops you held last weekend in Darwin.  The pelvic floor activation activities, postural cueing and general awareness of the pelvic floor has really helped a lot of my clients already.  And the endurance/more advanced muscle control exercises have also been very useful.  I have also been leaving the book around the office to the great interest of all (apart from our male boss!) so thank you both for a very interesting, enlightening and inspiring day '  Kelly Moffatt.
  • 'This workshop will change the way I assess and manage clients in my practice, particularly in regard to posture and breathing changes to switch on stabilisers'.  Liz Elphick.
  • 'Most helpful were the optimal recruitment positions and learning to look beyond the lumbar spine for dysfunctional patterns'. Jordan Lui
